get

open operator fun String.get(column: String): ColumnPath

Creates a ColumnPath from the receiver and the given column name column. This is a shorthand for pathOf("myColumnName", "myNestedColumnName") and is often used in combination with ColumnPath.invoke to retrieve the value of a nested column. For instance:

"myColumn"["myNestedColumn"]<NestedColumnType>()

"myColumn"["myNestedColumn"]["myDoublyNestedColumn"]<NestedColumnType>()

For more information: See Invoked String API on the documentation website.

open operator fun ColumnPath.get(column: String): ColumnPath

As extension to "myColumn"["myNestedColumn"], this function enables "myColumn"["myNestedColumn"]["myDoublyNestedColumn"] as alternative to pathOf("myColumn", "myNestedColumn", "myDoublyNestedColumn")

For more information: See Invoked String API on the documentation website.

It's recommended to migrate to the String or Extension Properties Access API https://kotlin.github.io/dataframe/apilevels.html

Retrieves the value of this KProperty Accessor from the DataFrame.

This is a shorthand for

get(MyType::myColumnGroup).asColumnGroup().get(MyOtherType::myOtherColumn)

and can instead be written as

MyType::myColumnGroup[MyOtherType::myOtherColumn].

Return

The DataColumn these KProperty Accessors point to.

Throws

if the column is not found.
